Established in 2013 by local citizens, WVA is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit member supported organization working with other organizations and individuals to educate and preserve the unique qualities of Washoe Valley. Join us in keeping Washoe Valley a haven in an urbanized northern Nevada!

Our activities include, but are not be limited to:

  • Volunteer participation in Washoe Lake State Park events.
  • Creating and participating in educational events such as the Audubon spring birding program for students at Washoe Lake.
  • Monitoring zoning, area plan, subdividing and other proposals affecting the way of life in the Valley.
  • Coordinating activities with other like-minded organizations.
  • Support and provide education on the Washoe Valley State Scenic Byway.
